Autorenporträt

Xesco Espar (Barcelona, 1963) has a bachelor's degree in physical activity and sports sciences from the University of Barcelona and a master's degree in psychology of learning from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He was a teacher at INEFC Barcelona (1991-2004) and a FC Barcelona handball coach from 1985 to 2007. As a coach for young players, he achieved 4 Spanish Championships. As assistant coach for the professional team, he won 3 European Cups and 3 ASOBAL leagues. As the first coach for the FC Barcelona professional handball team, he was victorious in the 2005 Champions League, the 2006 ASOBAL league and the 2007 Copa del Rey. He is specialised in sports planning, sports coaching, emotional control and motivation (www.xescoespar. net) and gives transformational seminars on emotional control and personal power (firewalkbcn.com).
