Rebecca Olien discovered the playful approach to writing during her twenty-years as a classroom teacher. When kids brought writing notebooks outside for recess she knew she was on to something! She now teaches education courses at Southern Oregon University and for the READ Oregon program. She is the author of over fifty books for children and educators.
