Autorenporträt

Edward Thomas Edward Thomas was born in London in 1878 and was educated at Lincoln College, Oxford. He made his living as a literary journalist, writing biographies, volumes of natural history, and one novel, editing anthologies, and contributing hundreds of reviews to the leading magazines of his time. He died at the battle of Arras in April, 1917. Peter Sacks Peter Sacks teaches in the English department at Harvard. He is the author of The English Elegy, which was the 1985 Phi Beta Kappa Christian Gauss Award, and of three books of poetry.
