The book is richly illustrated and includes a robust collection of individual POCUS images and cases. The Electronic Supplementary Materials offer high quality and interesting video clips complementing reader learning, particularly for neonatology, pediatric critical care, and general pediatric providers. Chapter authors provide a practical, experience-based approach to clinical integration of POCUS applications and highlight relevant supportive literature as well as important limitations to POCUS use in the management of critically ill children. The information within the book is also intended to support further clinical and educational research in the practice of pediatric POCUS.

Autorenporträt
Dr Yogen Singh is a Professor of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University. He is an attending neonatal intensivist at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. Dr Singh is the Chair of the ESPNIC Cardiovascular Hemodynamics Section and POCUS Working Group, and serves as the Director of the Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography, neonatal POCUS and Hemodynamics at Loma Linda University Hospital. Dr Singh has been a Consultant Neonatologist and Pediatrician with Expertise in Cardiology at Cambridge University Hospitals.

Dr. Cecile Tissot a senior Paediatric Cardiologist in Geneva, Switzerland and she is the Co-Chair of the ESPNIC POCUS Working Group. She has extensive experience in publishing educational material including publishing many articles in peer reviewed journals and several book chapters; editing TINEC Research topic at Frontiers in Pediatrics.

Dr. María Victoria Fraga isan Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania and an attending neonatologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr Fraga currently serves as the Director of the Neonatal Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Dr. Thomas Conlon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and an attending pediatric intensivist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Conlon currently serves as the Director of Critical Care Ultrasound as well as Co-director of their Critical Care Ultrasound Fellowship. He previously served as co-editor for Comprehensive Critical Care Ultrasound, Second Edition, published by The Society of Critical Care Medicine.
