TV and Radio: Author has appeared on CNN, The Today Show, Fresh Air, Leonard Lopate, and Brian Lehrer.

Media track for previous nonfiction work: A Wild Justice: The Death and Resurrection of Capital Punishment in America was a New York Times Book Review Editor's Choice; received starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews, Publishers Weekly, and Library Journal; was called "powerful . . . at once entertaining and deeply instructive" by Sean Wilentz.

Credentials and Affiliations: Author knows well both extremes of the college experience: he is a double Harvard graduate (undergrad and law) who now teaches at CUNY and helped found an alternative endowment for alumni who are against legacy.

Original, spicy material: The author completed hundreds of original interviews for this book resulting in admissions officials on record sharing provocative and even scandalous information and stories about admissions and fundraising practices.

Additional media reach: Mandery's latest novel, Q, is under development at Lions Gate. He won a 2019 Prime-Time Emmy Award and a 2019 Peabody Award for Artificial, the first scripted series on Twitch.
