At the dawn of July 1952, Egypt was freed from the corrupt monarchy thanks to the movement of "free officers", and that attracted the support of the Egyptians who welcomed the new Republican regime with passion, looking forward to a democratic and free future. And they supported the cleansing army measures with the hope of building a sound political life that prevails in a democratic climate, as the people are a source of power, and the Egyptians participate in the management of the country through their elected representatives in the parliamentary councils. But this can only be achieved by setting a valid constitution that guarantees equality between citizens and protects their rights. The writer Mohamed Mandour, the great critic and intellectual, highlights the importance of launching political freedoms as a real guarantee to achieve political and economic stability of the country.
