There, she meets Isaac O'Connor, said by the great sorceress, Sophia, to be the one who has the spirit to help her overcome the Phobos and Deimos which terrorize Oneira. Princess Tara finds herself deeply drawn to Zack, the stranger from Terra Firma. He is neither a nobleman nor exceedingly wealthy, yet in his arms she feels guilty pleasure, which she had never experienced in the arms of her betrothed, the cold Prince Boreas of Elurra.

On top of that an evil witch, Vindictia has given her a potion, causing her to become weak with fear of the Phobos and Deimos. Princess Tara of Astara must bravely cross Oneira to reach the Tree of Gaya so that she can drink the nectar from its rare bloom and be revived.

The magical tree, however, only blooms once every four hundred years when the sun and moon are aligned. The Tree of Gaya will bloom with the touch of a Prince and a Princess who are in love.

Will the cold Prince Boreas, who only cares for gold touch the Tree of Gaya with Princess Tara to make it bloom, or will he kill the tree to lay his hands on the treasure that lies beneath its root? Will they make it in time to the Tree of Gaya? Will they see Terra Firma again or will they die and find themselves in the labyrinths of Asphodel?
