The novel carries the reader into a world where seemingly harmless decisions send characters into darkness both physically and mentally. Forced into conflicts perpetuated by outside forces, our characters rely upon themselves, friends old and new, and even members of the spirit world. Evil forces in the form of 'entitled individuals', murderers, and terror from the sea, seek to destroy the goodness of Portersville. Lifetime resident of Alabama gulf coast. Graduate of Spring Hill College, U.S. Army Veteran, construction worker, charter boat mate, competitive sailor, powerlifting coach, charter member of Alabama Powerlifting Hall of Fame and public school teacher for 25 years. 20 years of teaching was with special needs students. I am blessed with a wonderful family beginning with my wife, Brenda, who retired after 35 years in public education as teacher, coordinator, and National Director for Talents Unlimited. My two children, both graduates from University of South Alabama live nearby. Also, four grandchildren all live nearby and attend University of South Alabama, University of Alabama Birmingham, University of West Florida.
