In his book "Postmodern Archipelagos," a book recently published by Dar Al-Rafidain, Dr. Muhammad Bakay describes the various paradigm shifts that have affected the circles of culture, politics, philosophy, language, identity, and the fields of communication, interaction, and sociology, indicating that postmodern thought carried across these disciplines a relatively coherent goal. It consists in questioning and criticizing the philosophical trends that preceded it, and putting them into question, defamation, and criticism, which made this thought characterized by doubt, disagreement, and resistance. Therefore, we cannot expect from postmodern thought any scientific or objective tendency or a systematic and regular goal, as much as we are surprised by its lack of stability, the ruggedness of its geography, and its pluralisms across culture and its production.
