Autorenporträt
Heinrich Zankl is a doctor of veterinary medicine and anthropology as well as a human geneticist. For over 25 years he was Professor for Human Biology and Human Genetics at Kaiserslautern University, before retiring in 2005. He has written several popular science books, and was awarded the Heinrich-Bechold Medal for scientific journalism. Mark Benecke works as a forensic biologist in Cologne. He lectures at various universities and police academies outside Germany. He has experience as an author with several popular science books. Hans-Wolfgang Helb gained his lecturing qualification in 1997 in applied zoology. He works at the department for ecology at Kaiserslautern TU. His specialist areas are ornithology and bioacoustics. Dieter Sültemeyer gained his lecturing qualification in 1998 in botany. He is a schoolteacher and a researcher in the department of plant ecology and systems at Kaiserslautern TU. He coauthored the Römpp-Umwelt-Lexikon. The Illustrator: Uwe-Dieter Wiedemann is an ENT specialist in Nuremberg. Art is his hobby: painting, drawing, photography and sculpture. Some of his works have been exhibited in Nuremberg town hall.
