Synopsis: It is a book of 136 poems with illustrative art of the author's own paintings and drawings. It is divided into 4 sections: Defining poetry, its process and its voice from the heart, inspiring readers to write Giving tributes to poets, survivors, heroes and victims in our time Delving into the valley of death, personally experienced or seen in our common history of diseases, pandemics, climate changes, violence and wars, and the tragedy over quick human response by hate and vengeance Finding hope in our time in the spirituality of faith, love and peace . May this book lead to a deeper reflection on events and situations in history that affect us as persons, as local communities and as one humanity in our one earth. The author's intention is to bring the message of hope in our time through poetry as part of our own human sanity. This book, "Power of the Pen, Poetry of Hope and Peace for our Time" of 136 poems in 4 sections, is put together within our context of pandemics, climate crises, raging violence and wars. Here is an attempt to present the reality in our own local and global history as one people with deep challenges in life and with a common longing for peace. I hope this collection will bring hope. I look at joy as something innate in every human heart and can be experienced as we daily celebrate life with love and faith. These are poems from my heart, also meant to encourage all those who have interest in writing to just get a pen and write. Happy reading!
