This book is an example of some of the prayers she learned during her journey. Mary states that prayer is not begging and pleading with God nor is it a matter of trying to get God to move in our life but a "relationship" with Him. Prayer is a matter of us moving in agreement and acknowledging the good things that God's Word says about us, and receiving what He has already provided. Then we'll see the manifestation of effective prayer and faith in our life.

Autorenporträt
Mary Taylor was born in Chicago, IL, the 10th of 12 children, of Roland and Nora Byars. Mary has one daughter, and two grandchildren. Between being a mother and later a wife, Mary strived and obtained a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration. A prestigious new job, a new home, cars, etc. were the perks of her life. She had no time for God. Mary experienced a break-up of her marriage, of 23 years. She turned to drugs to numb the pain and lost everything. Experiencing physical and mental abuse quickly took Mary to "her knees" where she learned how to pray.
