Autorenporträt
John and Linda Piippo have been married since August 11, 1977. They have three sons, Daniel, Joshua, and David (deceased). John and Linda enjoy ministering to people, traveling together, and exploring restaurants in Southeast Michigan and beyond.
John has taught courses, seminars, retreats, and conferences on prayer and spiritual formation to pastors, Christian leaders, university students, and churches throughout the United States and the world, to include Singapore, India, Brazil, Trinidad, Kenya, Vancouver, and London, Ontario.
John has been Adjunct Professor at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in the M.Div., and D. Min. programs, (Oakbrook, Illinois), Adjunct Professor of Spiritual Formation in the Doctor of Ministry Program at Palmer Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), and Visiting Professor at Faith Bible Seminary (New York City).
John is currently Adjunct Professor of Spiritual Formation at Payne Theological Seminary (African Methodist Episcopal), and Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at Monroe County Community Community College (Monroe, Michigan).
John earned an Associate's degree in Music Theory (Kishwaukee Community College, Malta, Illinois), a B.A. in Philosophy (Northern Illinois University), an M.Div. (Northern Baptist Theological Seminary), and a Ph.D in Religious and Theological Studies (Philosophical Theology, Northwestern University).
He has served as a Pastor at Redeemer Fellowship Church in Monroe, Michigan, since 1992 (American Baptist Churches, USA). John has been blogging since 2004 at johnpiippo.com.
