Autorenporträt
Veda Pendleton grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in the 1960's and 1970's. Prepped depicts her upbringing in the Deep South and journey to The Ethel Walker School. Veda became an educator and writer and holds degrees from Wesleyan University, the University of Central Arkansas and The University of Georgia. She spent nearly twenty years in higher education teaching teachers how to teach reading and serving as a department chair and dean. Veda also served as a consultant and equity lead for the Kentucky Department of Education. Prepped is Veda's fifth book and first memoir. She also writes for academic journals, local magazines, newsletters, and blogs. Veda lives and writes in Louisville, KY, She has five adult children and seven grandchildren. Each summer she hosts Cousins Camp for her grandchildren.
