Koff Mensane is the pen name of the author. Born and educated in a foreign country, he worked for the government before coming to the United States for further education and better economic opportunities. Retired in 2010, he was employed in the non-profit and governmental sectors, with specialization in program compliance. He has always been fascinated by stories of foreigners who end up staying in the United States after initially planning to return to their home countries.
