Praneet Rana is a poet, writer, and someone who's simply trying to find her place in the world. Born and raised in New Zealand, she is a Sikh woman with deep roots in her Punjabi heritage. With a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology and a minor in Human Development, her writing navigates the complexities of identity, love, loss, and the ever-evolving journey of self-discovery. She began writing journal entries at eighteen, and soon realized her words could be a voice for many. In 2020, she published her first book, The Delicacy of a Rose, with the hope of inspiring others to embrace their true selves. Pretty is an Understatement is her second book, a continuation of her exploration of vulnerability, strength, and the messy beauty of being human. Praneet is passionate about empowering women and believes in the strength of sharing stories to heal. When she's not writing, you'll find her sharing bits of her life, thoughts, and everything in between on Instagram @simplyexist-where she's all about embracing the chaos.
