PRIMAL RESURRECTION - THE BEAST WITHIN US
Francis Kochis is haunted by guilt from his actions as a child that left his twin brother in a wheelchair. This brilliant young micro-biologist sets out to make his brother healthy once again. After much effort, the eccentric doctor discovers a way to re-activate primordial amino acids within dormant chains in human DNA. That extraordinary molecule is key to muscle and eventually spinal cord regeneration by activating what still remains of first our ape and eventually our amphibian ancestors' DNA.
Francis begins by testing our closest primate relatives and is able to resurrect the triggers that activate our muscular tissue to imitate that of the chimpanzee. Unsure that other primordial impulses might also be brought to bear, he is only willing to test his discovery on himself. Having done that successfully, Francis takes himself down the DNA spiral staircase into an amazing and exceedingly dangerous path. Commercial and military forces attempt to duplicate his research in order to make uber-warriors. These mercenary elements will stop at nothing in their attempts to learn Dr. Kochis' secrets.
Unfortunately, the good doctor was correct in assuming that other, more primal instincts were also activated. Soon thereafter morphology in primal behavior manifested itself in a deadly manner and Kochis is the first subject to display the chimpanzee's aggressiveness. He fears he will soon become something akin to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde with much more ferocity and strength. His fears are soon realized.
It now becomes a race against time that will either allow Francis to recover control and save humanity by stopping the forces set against him and determined to create a human-killer-ape army.
