My dear reader! Before you is the first volume of the book "In the UZ Zone", congratulations, a lot of impressions await you, and not always positive ones! The author wants to show the truth about modern life in Uzbekistan, without embellishment, humiliation and lies. What is modern Uzbekistan? This is a police state, where behind the fashionable facades of banks and the splendor of government buildings, a total atmosphere of fear, oppression and poverty of the bulk of the population reigns, while the authorities are drowning in luxury. This former Soviet republic is now all clothed with barbed wire, every person who finds himself there feels a leap in time, as if he made a trip to the era of the Gulag. The government of Uzbekistan has revived Stalin's repressions, and uses the Gestapo torture, but with the silence of the UN, Europe, Russia, China and the United States, the most heinous crimes against humanity continue to be committed in this country. Dry statistics, which as everyone knows, shows the sad facts that today in Uzbekistan, every third adult man was imprisoned, and every fifth one twice or three times, and this is not at all because there are so many criminals in the country, these are the consequences of practice " the plan of political repression ", which has been carried out for almost a quarter of a century, namely, each policeman must send a certain number of" criminals "to jail every month and where he will take them and how the investigator will receive recognition, the generals in the Ministry of Internal Affairs do not care much. The hero of this book, Serge Ivakov, is a collective image, although the author had to experience a lot, as they say on his own skin, including forgery, blackmail, sophisticated torture and violence against loved ones, after which there was a prison and other horrors in captivity. This book shows fragments of the life of an ordinary person, far from crime and politics, who, by chance, was wound on the flywheel of political repression, and he found himself on the other side of justice, although before this incident he was a law-abiding man and an ardent supporter of the ruling regime of Islam Karimov, but only before March 1, 1997, until this trouble happened to him.
