Produktbeschreibung
This book examines ethnic agitations in Nigeria as they relate to the pro-Biafra groups. It equally examines the various methods employed by these groups in achieving their aims and the outcome of these struggles and agitations. It will be discovered in this book that the several exploits, if any, made by these groups rest on several factors among which are their ideological disposition, the socio-economic conditions and the perception of members of these groups and those that have sympathy to the course of their struggles. Thus, these organizations are by-products of the contradictions and failures of the Nigeria government. This work posits that the success of entrenching the process of democratization, political and economic development in Nigeria depends largely on fending off politics of hatred, ethno-religious divide, corruption and other vices. This work, therefore, concludes that democratic and economic growth of Nigeria will continue to be an illusion, and the country, creating a positive image on international arena, a white goose chase, if the Nigerian leaders fail to solve her internal problems.
