There are so many gems of wisdom in Proverbs that it is difficult to choose only one from each book; however, learning about Proverbs is like almost any task we undertake, just take it a step at a time. So hopefully, as these few verses with their devotionals are read, the reader will be enticed to not only read the actual book of Proverbs but will also be encouraged to live out the wisdom learned from that wonderful old book.

Mary K. Turkington is passionate about reading and writing. She has written many skits, short stories, poems, devotionals, and even a few songs and choruses through the years for her grandchildren, Sunday School, and other church-related activities. Her first published work, The ABCs of Proverbs was completed in 2016. This book, Proverbs for the Politically Incorrect, is the second in a trilogy she hopes to complete on the Biblical book of Proverbs which she has studied over the past several years. Her goal is to share the wonderful truths and blessings she has been privileged to receive from studying the words of wisdom as they relate to the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
