Autorenporträt

Theodor Aug. Râscanu was born on November 4, 1888 in Iäi, Romania. He studied law at the University of Iäi. As a writer and publicist he worked with publications such as: Timpul, Adevarul, Cuvântul, Dacia, Gândirea, Universul literar, Revista Fundäiilor Regale. In 1913 he founded the newspaper "Politica" in Iäi and in 1935 the newspaper "Criza" in Bucharest. He became a member of the Society of Romanian Writers in 1935. Persecuted by the communists he committed suicide on July 29, 1952.
