I knew how evil she was. How harsh she could be to her enemies and those in her employ. We were treated with little to no regard. I'd been a slave to her whims for more years than I had been free and I knew, I would never escape the compound. I would die a slave to her whims. As a child, I had hoped for a white knight to save me, but I'd given up on that dream long ago.

That was until I'd seen him dragged through the gates, fighting tooth and nail to be free of the Queen. Even as broken and beaten as Codero was I saw his strength. The SoCal Soulless MC president wouldn't break easily but I knew, his strength and fury won't help against the Queen. Her cunning is unsurpassed. She would break him just as she'd broken us all.

He'll learn that hope is a twisted dream and that death is a welcome friend. Unless we can work together to get free.
