On the surface, auto racing and faith would not be two subjects that go together. But after reading Racing with Faith, one will see how the two can come together to offer readers different ways to look at racing and faith. The twenty-two stories that make up Racing with Faith end with Bible verses that join racing and faith together.

Danny Burton watched his first race at the Bloomington Speedway. His parents took him, and his dad always mentioned the cold weather. There would be many races in their shared future.
The date of his first visit to church isnt known, but its a safe assumption that it was before he could walk. Over the years, he has visited many churches, from North Carolina to Arizona. These days, hes found at the First Baptist Church in Columbus, Indiana, on Sundays, and, occasionally, through the week.
Burton began writing in the early 1990s, a newsletter for his union, National Association of Letter Carriers, Branch 160. The internet was coming into its own, and one night in a chat room, he was commanded by a website owner to write a story! The owner was the late Lenny Calinoff, and the website was www.openwheelracing.com.
From there, Burton wrote about races all over Indiana. He also wrote a weekly column for Hawkeye Racing News. After OWR.com went away, he began writing for www.hoseheads.com, and has continued writing racing stories each week.
In 2013, Burton began writing for Flat Out Magazine. That, too, continues to this day, and, along with Hoseheads, is a beneficial relationship.
This is his first attempt at fiction and is the result of a lifetime of reading, going to races, and asking questions.
Danny Burton lives in Columbus, Indiana, with his wife of forty-three years, Anita. They have two children and three grandchildren.
