Produktbeschreibung
Wayne Brindle's inaugural collection of poetry, evoking radiant beauty, wild fury, and heartbreak throughout America-individuals and communities who have struggled through misfortune with resilience and uncommon triumph. In language that is both simple and sparkling, Brindle describes how the people who settled the American plains and piedmont trust in their creator and are continually astounded by the beauty of the land. Including love and nature poems, regional, cultural and inspirational poetry, and even haiku, these poems are deeply personal. Brindle uses vivid imagery to paint a memorable picture of life in a luminous world. Whether marveling at trees or birds in a field, or mourning the loss of a dog named Flower, Brindle finds the smallest experiences incredible and explores everything with humor, wonder, and clarity.
