Danielle Chapman-Skaines originates from the deep south of Texas and grew up traveling North America and Europe with parents who worked with charities to build supportive communities for youth in deprived areas. Danielle continued this work, volunteering to support children, until she became a teacher. First working as an artist and illustrator, she sought to address issues impacting children today by writing children's stories alongside her illustrations.
