Produktbeschreibung
Through haunting imagery and evocative language, the raw emotions of one who has endured the unimaginable finds expression, transcending the confines of a single story and speaking to the universal human experience of suffering, survival, and the triumph of the soul. This collection of poetry challenges us to confront the uncomfortable truths of our world and compels us to take a stand against the shadows that threaten to engulf the vulnerable.

Railroad is a call to action, an urgent plea for awareness and understanding. It pierces through imposed silence and acts as testament to the transformative power of art and the redemptive potential of the human spirit. Let these poems seep into your heart, stir your empathy, and ignite your determination to fight for a world free from the horrors of human trafficking and exploitation.

For those who have survived, for those who are still fighting, and for those who stand in solidarity, Railroad is a beacon of hope, a source of solace, and a reminder that even the darkest nights give way to the dawn. -Anastasia Johnson

The poems of Railroad slice to the marrow of what it means for a body to survive-violence, assault, captivity, even love. Never afraid to center the speaker in the discourse of childhood trauma and human trafficking, this collection demands attention and response. As one poem states, "Those who wait will be seen, but not recognized." We must act now. -Monica Prince, author of The choreopoems Roadmap and How to Exterminate the Black Woman
