This book is about my dads life from 1927 till he sold his business. He is now eighty-eight years old and, with the encouragement of others, decided that his stories and antics from his younger days should be down on paper. This blossomed into his putting it into book form. So here it is! I am responsible for the title because I have had to help him get this accomplished. There are funny stories from his life, and there are lesson-learning stories. Judge for yourself how this book may affect your life. When you read this, think about all the stories your own dad or granddad would tell. Enjoy, and I hope it brings up your own great memories. Jackie…mehr

Autorenporträt
I was born on September 12, 1927. I hope and pray that all young people who find they are being bullied or poor or dealing with many of life's hardships will look at this as inspiration that they can do whatever they want in life. I went from having four to five inches of snow on my blanket as a small child and being called rags when I went into high school. And I still had a wonderful life. When I was eight years old, my dad put me, my ma, and my infant brother on a farm he had just bought. It was seven miles from town and thirty-five miles from the farm Dad was working until spring. We ran out of food because of the snowstorms, so I quit eating so my ma and little infant brother would have food. If I can overcome these obstacles and make a good life, anyone can. All you have to do is keep trying. I was lucky to be able to fix things that others could not. I ended up marrying a wonderful woman, whom I met through 4-H. We had six beautiful children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I am lucky that I still have my wife after sixty-six years and all my children. I am still lucky at eighty-eight!
