Two lonely hearts- one chance encounter. Can they make it into something more lasting?

Major Frank Harris destroyed a group of vicious terrorists- at a horrific cost. As he deals with the aftermath- the wounded and the dead- he recognizes his need to reach out in search of love, to fill the void in his life.

Captain Lucy Green is a gifted scientist, working on cutting-edge projects worldwide...but her drive has come at the cost of a personal life. When she crossed paths with Major Harris at a conference, she'd been mildly interested- the way any woman would be when meeting a handsome, capable man...but when he contacts her after the battle and begins to open up, she recognizes a similar loneliness to her own.

Different services and different career fields prevent any type of relationship between them...but with a little help from their friends, maybe the pair can find a way to make it work.

Autorenporträt
Annette Arsineau intended to be a criminologist, earning a degree in forensic science with a minor in psychology; it was in this field of study she first learned about introverts and extroverts, when she met the man who would eventually become her husband. Through his service in the military, she gained a deep appreciation of the dangers, the fear, and the loneliness faced by all military couples.

After her husband was injured on active duty, she began journaling to help cope with her fear and stress during his recovery; from this beginning, she began her first series, chronicling the aftermath of war and loss and the difficulty of making a transition to a new life.

Having successfully transitioned out of the military, Annette and her husband have started a new life in the Pacific Northwest, where they welcomed their first child.
