It has been much written about the phenomenon that Neo-Nazi organisations gained many new members of young age. Especially since the Reunification, German media has reported many cases of horrible violent acts against foreigners and their homes. Is there really just since 20 years an increase in crimes with racist backgrounds, which were committed mostly by groups of young Neo-Nazis? The purpose of this paper is to clarify which groups of young people get easily affected by the Neo-Nazi ideology and why. Do they perceive themselves collectively as a right wing youth cultures? Which reasons are playing an important role for young people to join a right wing attitude? Which methods and verbal strategies are used by Neo-Nazi organisations to gain new young members? What role are playing items like music, clothes or activities in order to create an extremist and collective Lifestyle? The paper discusses these and other questions and tries to give a proper scientific answer.
