During weekly music recitals at my school, students and faculty are exposed to a variety of types of music and performers, from classical to Texas Swing and jazz, and from student musician to professional. The poems I draft during those performances and edit later, I hope, give readers a chance to experience the characters and ideas which come to mind as I listen to (usually) great music and watch people experience performances.
This is the second book in an ongoing series. The first is "The Paper Sessions," which were composed on the programs for each recital. Each poem in this volume, "The Digital Sessions," was written first on my iPad or iPhone.
