This book, a partnership between the Boston Public Library and the Boston Red Sox, is part of an effort to bring Red Sox history to life. Large format prints of most of the images included here are hung inside Fenway Park. The images shown are a sampling of the over 750,000 photographs in the library,s collection and the tens of thousands of images in the Red Sox archives.

Jennifer Latchford worked for the Boston Public Library on efforts to expose its wonderful collections to different audiences through partnerships like this and over the Internet. Rod Oreste was hired by Red Sox Hall of Fame executive Dick Bresciani in 1998 and has been with the organization ever since.
