Autorenporträt
S. U. Semmel wurde in Ingelheim am Rhein geboren. Er wagte in jungen Jahren einen Ausflug in die Beamtenbranche, bevor er sich für ein Studium der Sportwissenschaft entschied. Ziel: Diplomsportlehrer. In dieser Zeit frönte er parallel seiner Leidenschaft für die Bühne und hatte Engagements in der Theater- und Musicalszene. Es folgte die Entscheidung für ein Volontariat zum Redakteur bei der Zeitung. Später jedoch wechselte er in die TV-Branche. Hier startete er beim DSF, wurde Reporter und Moderator, wechselte dann zu ProSieben und schließlich zum ZDF, wo er ebenfalls als Moderator tätig war. Als Realisator, Regisseur und Autor war und ist er aktiv für Dokus, Shows und Talksendungen im deutschsprachigen Raum. S. U.
