Autorenporträt
David Rose has been caving since he was 10 and climbing since his 20s, and has made ascents in Britain, the Alps and Himalaya. Named Feature Writer of the Year in the British Press Awards in 2019, he writes for the Mail on Sunday and other publications. His previous books include Beneath the Mountains, about the exploration of the deepest cave ever discovered by a British team, the Ario system in Spain.

Ed Douglas has been a climber for forty years and has made first ascents in the Himalaya. He is the current editor of the Alpine Journal and won the Boardman Tasker Award for mountain literature in 2010. He writes regularly for The Guardian's Country Diary and his latest book is a study of Kinder Scout: The People's Mountain.
