MICHIEL A. HELDEWEG is Professor of Public Governance Law at the Department of Legal and Economic Governance Studies, University of Twente, the Netherlands. He is also an Honorary Judge for the District Court of Almelo, the Netherlands Administrative Law Bench. His research interests focus on regulation and innovation with special attention paid to hybrid regulation, legal design methodology and the field of Environmental and Energy Law. EVISA KICA is currently studying for her PhD at the School of Management and Governance, the Department of Legal and Economic Governance Studies atthe University of Twente, the Netherlands. She is also involved in the project 'study on the quality of the patent system in Europe' commissioned by Poiltecnico di Torino.
