Autorenporträt

Stacy graduated from Michigan State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Human Services. After graduating from MSU, Stacy helped mothers struggling with addiction, abuse, and other hOMe life issues. As a family facilitator in Chicago, Stacy worked closely with social workers, drug counselors, and family social service groups to break destructive family cycles in favor of learning new personal and parenting skills. Between 1996 to 2003, Stacy spent her summers working as a camp counselor and supervising kids of all ages at summer camps in metro Detroit and northern Michigan. These experiences helped to further root Stacy's love for counseling and working closely with children. Stacy developed a tremendous love for yoga after the birth of her two children. This new passion led her to pursue a higher knowledge with various yoga disciplines. Beginning with a Life and Yoga Teacher Training Certification (Yoga Shelter), Stacy then went on to complete two hundred hours of Registered Yoga Teacher Training (Global Family Yoga), focusing on children's and family yoga. Most recently, Stacy has shared her unique approach to children's yoga at Hillel Day School, Friendship Circle, and Camp Tamarack. Whether it's a yoga class, one-on-one counseling session, workshop, or connecting with nature, the restoration from within will begin to aid in uplifting and lightening the mind, body and spirit.
