Through its nine chapters, this book traces the story of underwater archeology, from the coincidence that led sponge hunters to sunken Greek antiquities until the discovery of entire underwater cities. Man's motivation for this was the instinct of discovery, which, according to the author of the book, is one of three needs that man remains. Interesting for her: "to discover, to experience, to understand." In the twentieth century, the field expanded for archaeologists. A new field of underwater archaeology emerged. Underwater archaeologists are still carrying out campaigns to explore new monuments that tell the story of the new development in man's search for knowledge, and perhaps its most exciting episode was the discovery of Atlantis, the sunken city under the sea.
