Growing up in the 1940's, we didn't have cell phones or social media,
and we sure as heck didn't have internet. Some people may consider us deprived, but our lives were richer not because of what we didn't have, but because of what we did. I grew up in the Ranching and Mining community of Mountain City, Nevada, and life there was far from boring. Once upon a time, Mountain City was a flourishing town, but now it's a ghost town. Even though it's no longer the flourishing town it was, the memory of it will never be forgotten. Remembering Mountain City will take you to a new world, warm your heart, and make you
envious--but this is not a tale that should be shared with adventuresome young boys--lest you lose them to explore forever.
