Lisa grew up in Chicago, but has lived in Iowa for 30 years now. She credits her mother, an elementary school teacher of English and music, for igniting the love of writing in her when she was a young girl. Lisa's three children, two grandchildren, two dogs, a grand dog and two grand cats provide plenty of subject matter for books.
