To say it was interesting does not give the book the total credit it deserves. It is a compelling story of Richard Sullivan's life journey. To endure what he has in his life, he will remain a hero. Now, as he shares the whole story, it becomes even more evident that he has faced many difficult challenges and hurdles. His service in the army for our country is another tribute to the great man that he is. The ravages of war leave many unable to cope with daily life, but he did his duty and found a way to carry on.

Autorenporträt
Living in Bellevue, Ohio, a relatively small Ohio town, has allowed me to reflect on my past and to occasionally see my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Lake Erie, Port Clinton, and Sandusky are nearby. Shirley's sister, Marcella, owns a nice cottage in Lakeside on Lake Erie where we are free to visit. I live in a 115-year-old house with my loving wife, Shirley, three cats, and many "fat" squirrels. Shirley's sister Nancy and her husband, Ervin, lives nearby. We often drive to Columbus for various reasons and visit our children and grandchildren. I enjoy working in my garage, making walking sticks, and repairing antiques Shirley keeps collecting. I dedicate this biography to my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and to my wife, Shirley (who showed me a way to end this narrative), and her family. My brothers Tom, Harry, and John and my sister, Margaret Sullivan OSF, Stella Niagara, New York all have had an influence on me and my life, and I wish I could write something about them. My daughters and their husbands naturally share stories of mutual interest. My parents and grandparents are memories. My grandchildren, Holly, Daniel, Nicholas, and Christopher.
