Hi, my name is Harriet, and I live at a place called Laurels Wood with my mum and dad.

This book is about a real life family of barn owls and their adventures from last year.

It all started when 2 barn owls came to live in a barn at the bottom of my garden.

Watching them from my bedroom window through my grandad's binoculars I could watch all the adventures that the 2 barns owls had.

I named them Ringo and Boo. It didn't take long before we realised Ringo had laid some eggs.

And this is when the adventure really began. So, nearly all my evenings were taken up watching these beautiful owls, unless I had homework.

I got to know each one of the owlets, giving them all names.

So this story follows the whole owl family from the eggs hatching to the owlets fledging, leaving the nest to start a life on their own, and all the stuff in between.

Hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I did watching it from my bedroom window.

Fingers crossed Ringo and Boo come back this year and there will be more adventures.
