Autorenporträt
Eddie Faye Gates is a former high school history teacher, public school administrator, and curriculum writer. She has also been an education consultant, Holocaust education consultant, and activist working at local, state, national, and international levels. Sher served on the Oklahoma Commission to Study the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921. She attended Tuskegee Institute in Alabama for three years and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She graduated with honors from the University of Tulsa, with a Master of Arts degree in history. She is the author of They Came Searching: How Blacks Sought the Promised Land in Tulsa and Mis Lucy's Cookies: And Other Links in My Black Family Support System.
