A geographic routing algorithm with minimal communication overhead for wireless ad hoc networks is designed. The algorithm comes with robust recovery strategies for routing failures and support for location errors and 3D topologies. Furthermore, novel delivery semantics for geographic routing are proposed. Extensive simulation studies confirm excellent performance of the algorithm in realistic network scenarios even with high mobility.
