The author chose to link these characteristics to their era by contrasting them with classicism first, then by explaining the social and philosophical reasons in which they arose, then mentioning the components of the romantic personality from a personal perspective, and then explaining the general romantic issues, such as their position on societies and their position on religion, especially on Christianity. Then the place of nature and love in their literature.
