Romeo and Juliet are a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young Italian star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and, along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently performed plays. Yet, while the two characters may have initially fallen for each other due to a mixture of convenience and lust, Romeo and Juliet's language shows their passion maturing into real love. Shakespeare is known to have discovered this tragic love story in Arthur Brooke's 1562 poem entitled "The Tragical History of Romeo and Juliet". ... And we, here at Love Happens, are all for it.
