This is a simple lace hat with a rose design around the head and another flower design on the crown. The cap is worked in the round so there are no seams. There is a little "extra" fabric in the crown that lets you fold the hat easily. The sample measures about 18" (46cm) around and easily fits a 22" (56cm) head.

One repeat of the rose pattern is about 4" (10cm) wide and 3.5" (8.9cm) tall. Five stitch markers, a 16" (40cm) circular needle and a set of double point needles in the same size are recommended. The sample took about 144 yards (131.7 meters) of DK weight yarn on US 5 (3.75mm) needles.

The pattern includes charts and written directions for the lace patterns.
