Paula Campos Pinto is Associate Professor of Sociology at ISCSP, the School of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon and Deputy Director of CIEG, the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies of the University of Lisbon. Tamara Shefer is Professor of Women's and Gender Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa.
