Running for the People? is an insider's account of Canada's electoral process that reveals how deeply broken it is. Rem Westland ran in the 2011 federal election, representing the Conservative Party of Canada in the riding of Ottawa-Vanier. R.C. (Remmelt Cornelis "Rem") Westland is the author of Running for the People? He studied at Canada's Royal Military College and Carleton University. A short story based on Badly Hidden was published in the anthology Thirty at Thirty. Westland divides his time between his home in Rockcliffe and a cottage at Sharbot Lake, Ontario.
