Ryeland's Tail is a book about learning to love who you are. Ryeland is a cat with no tail. He is bullied by other cats and is sad. Ryeland is very self conscious of his body and notices all other types of creatures have tails except for him. He then seeks advice from his mother cat on why he has no tail. She tells him that it doesn't matter if he has a tail or not because he is still loved. She points out he has friends and family who love him and that is what matters in life. Ryeland begins to realize he is very loved and he accepts that. This story shows children and readers of all ages love is unconditional and no matter who you are you are still loved.
