Peter Konashevich, better known by the nickname given to him by the Cossacks - Sagaidachny - one of the most significant figures in ancient Ukrainian history. Throughout his life he had to fight on the Black Sea and near the walls of Moscow, together with the Poles to block the Turks' way to Europe and restore the Orthodox hierarchy in the Ukrainian-Belarusian lands. As a true Cossack, he put personal freedom, the Orthodox faith, and the Zaporozhian brotherhood first, which grew stronger in the face of Tatar-Turkish aggression and Polish-Catholic pressure. Andrei Tchaikovsky's The Quiver is a historical novel in which the author recreates a broad epic canvas and portrays a Cossack commander as a courageous and courageous patriot. The author also wrote other works, in particular, "For my sister", "In someone else's nest", "Juvenile", "My sons", "Panich", "Soldier", "Who is to blame", "For a haystack" and so on. Andriy Tchaikovsky is a Ukrainian writer and public figure, a master of romantic-historical and psychological prose.
