Sailing Adventures of Greece is a collection of nine stories, Mikey Simpson seems to be at his best in the short story writing. The first story, "George Becomes a Seaman", is the longest. George, in spite of the desires of his lawyer father, goes to sea, where he has many adventures, culminating in an event in which he was presumed to have lost his life. Very short of money, and looking somewhat dishevelled, he reaches home, where he is not recognised by his sisters, but a girl who was being brought up by the family, and who likes George, does recognise him, and he is given a great welcome home.

Mikey is a novelist with a very creative background in fine art, graphic design, creative writing and marketing & communications areas. He worked in Higher and Further education marketing for over ten years before becoming an author. Mikey writes Science Fiction and Crime Fiction, Thriller novels. His creative writing started five years ago with his debut novel; The Discovery of Mars Magellan, with his more recent publication; Bite The Bullet completed August 2011. He is in the process of writing new crime fiction novels to accompany his Star Warriors & Ionian Gangster Boy, Sailing Adventures of Greece, The Planet's Core - SciFi Series.
